In Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, Naval Forts are the military fortresses controlling the Caribbean. Capturing all 11 Forts eliminates the regional fog of war, reveals all collectibles on your world map, unlocks high-yield naval contracts, and awards the "King of the Castle" trophy/achievement.

The 3-Step Fort Assault Warfare Doctrine
Unlike the 2013 original where commanders simply surrendered, Resynced features a Dynamic Morale & Fort Breach System:

Phase 1: Naval Bombardment (Destroying Towers)
- Maintain a 350m–450m Stand-Off Distance: Never anchor directly beneath fort walls. Circle parallel to the coastline to fire broadsides while remaining mobile.
- Prioritize Heavy Mortar Towers: Use your own Mortars (500m range) to target the tallest watchtower first. Each destroyed tower removes 33% of the fort's return fire.
- Brace on Whistle Signals: When you hear the high-pitched whistle of incoming fort artillery, hold Brace immediately. Lucy Baldwin's Perfect Brace (Officer Guide) negates 95% of incoming blast damage.
Phase 2: Fort Infiltration (Lowering Enemy Morale)
- Once all towers collapse, sail to the marked dock and press the dock prompt to storm the fortress.
- Your crew storm the battlements alongside you.
- Eliminate marked Fort Officers and Gunpowder Stockpiles:
- Use Smoke Bombs to obscure elite Brutes.
- Use the Rope Dart Scorpion Sweep to trip officers over parapet edges.
- Detonate red powder kegs with your pistol to clear groups of defenders.
Phase 3: The Commander Duel (War Room Breach)
- When enemy garrison morale drops to zero, the reinforced War Room door unlocks.
- Enter the inner sanctuary and eliminate the Fort Commander:
- Tactical Tip: Commanders counter standard sword combos. Fire a Pistol Quick Shot into their shield to break their guard instantly, followed by a lethal sword execution.
- Interact with the command desk to synchronize the region and hoist the Black Flag.

- Total Map De-Fogging: Every Mayan Stela, Treasure Map, Shipwreck, and Chest in the ocean quadrant becomes permanently visible.

- Naval Contracts: Unlocks high-paying bounty contracts (1,500 – 3,000 Reales each) from the local Governor.
