1. El Impoluto (Northwest — 199, 894)

El Impoluto ("The Pristine") is universally considered the hardest single ship in the game due to its absurd 18-knot sailing speed, immense ramming beak, and agile turning radius.

Phase-by-Phase Battle Strategy

• Phase 1 (100% – 50% HP):
  • El Impoluto immediately attempts to ram your broadside. Never sail in a straight line away from it.
  • Turn sharply, drop Shrapnel Barrels behind you, and shoot them with your Swivel Gun just as its bow reaches the barrels.
  • If collision is unavoidable, use Lucy Baldwin's Perfect Brace within 0.5s of impact to absorb 95% of the ramming kinetic damage.
• Phase 2 (50% – 0% HP):
  • It begins firing sweeping broadsides of flaming round shot immediately after ramming attempts.
  • Activate Padre's Ram Dash to surge diagonally past its bow, maneuver directly behind its stern, and unleash point-blank Heavy Shot + Swivel Gun volleys into its vulnerable rudder.

2. HMS Fearless & Royal Sovereign ("The Twins" — 872, 874)

This encounter pits you against two Level 75 Man-o-Wars that coordinate their maneuvers to catch the Jackdaw in a crossfire.

The Enrage Mechanic (Critical Rule)

When either ship sinks, the surviving vessel ignites in flames, gains 100% movement speed, and relentlessly rams you until one of you sinks.

Strategy: Symmetrical Health Depletion

1. Never sail between them: Getting caught in their crossfire will destroy maxed hull armor in two volleys.
2. Keep both ships on the same side: Circle around the outer perimeter of the arena, keeping both Man-o-Wars in front of you.
3. Alternate damage evenly: Fire mortars and broadsides into HMS Fearless until it reaches ~15% HP, then immediately swap focus to Royal Sovereign and bring it down to ~15% HP.
4. The Simultaneous Kill: Once both are near death, fire a full Mortar barrage into one and a Heavy Shot broadside into the other to eliminate both within seconds, bypassing the Enrage phase completely.

3. La Dama Negra (Southwest — 67, 130)

La Dama Negra ("The Black Lady") is an armored juggernaut equipped with reinforced iron plating along its entire port and starboard sides.

Boss Mechanics

• Side Armor Immunity: Side cannonballs and swivel gun fire bounce off its broadsides with zero damage.
• Blind Mortars: Its mortar strikes do not display visible trajectory arcs on the water until just before impact.

How to Defeat La Dama Negra

1. Target the Stern Exclusively: The only unarmored section of the ship is its rear stern.
2. Use Chain Shot / Double Shot: Fire your bow chasers to damage its sails and slow its turning circle.
3. Tail the Ship: Position the Jackdaw directly behind its rudder (the "blind spot" where its broadsides cannot aim).
4. Unload continuous Heavy Shot into the wooden stern. Whenever you hear the high-pitched whistle of its mortars, hold Brace immediately.

How to Defeat HMS Prince

1. Rely on the Radar Compass: Watch your minimap rather than the foggy screen to track its exact heading.
2. Light It Up with Heated Shot: Firing Heated Shot broadsides sets HMS Prince's sails on fire, illuminating its silhouette through the thick fog.
3. Close the Distance: Stay within medium range (100m–150m) and unleash continuous mortar and broadside volleys. It has the lowest total HP pool of all four legendary encounters.
