AC Black Flag Resynced Character Portrait Locations

There are 11 character portraits in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced. Several only appear after specific story memories or side quests, and synchronizing viewpoints does not reveal their icons across the map. Use the coordinates below, finish the listed prerequisite, then move close enough for the portrait icon to appear.

Completion rule: collecting the portraits is only the first step. Return to Great Inagua and hang all 11 inside the manor to finish the collection and unlock the Memory of My Enemy trophy or achievement.

Great Inagua, Havana, and Nassau

1. Julien du Casse — Great Inagua (827, 443)

Enter the Great Inagua manor and go to the weapon display room. The portrait is inside the house rather than out in the settlement, so finish the hideout introduction if the manor is still closed.

2. Laureano de Torres — Havana (224, 595)

Go to the large fort in northeastern Havana and climb the tower. Look for the white traversal mark near the top, drop to the balcony below it, and use the concealed entrance to reach the portrait room.

3. El Tiburón — Havana (204, 608)

This portrait is in the northern Havana fort. Climb the scaffolding on the fort's northwest side and enter the hidden chamber. The Codex location label can be misleading, so use the coordinates rather than searching only around the Castillo.

4. Commodore Chamberlaine — Nassau (589, 757)

Travel to the guarded manor on the western side of Nassau. Reach the upper floor through the open window; the portrait is inside. Clear or bypass the guards before attempting the climb so a combat alert does not interrupt the route.

Kingston, Santanillas, and Príncipe

5. Woodes Rogers — Kingston (618, 171)

The portrait is inside the central Kingston estate used during Sequence 12, Memory 1: A Governor No Longer. Collect it during that memory or return after completing the mission. It will not appear before the story gate is cleared.

6. Laurens Prins — Kingston (594, 174)

Head to the plantation manor west of Kingston after completing Sequence 5, Memory 3: Unmanned. Use the open side window to enter the building and collect the portrait upstairs.

7. Benjamin Hornigold — Santanillas (191, 223)

Go to the northeastern beach at Santanillas and find the wrecked ship. Search near the former captain's quarters inside the wreck rather than the nearby ruins.

8. Bartholomew Roberts — Príncipe (113, 20)

Finish Sequence 9, Memory 2: Trust is Earned, then return to the enemy camp on the eastern side of Príncipe. The portrait is in a tent near the beach.

Side-Quest Portraits

The final three portraits are tied to Resynced questlines. Visiting the coordinates early will not bypass their unlock conditions.

9. Blackbeard — Anotto Bay (590, 245)

Complete Do Not Go Gently... in Sequence 8 to unlock the Blackbeard's Treasure side quest. The portrait is awarded through that quest at Anotto Bay rather than collected as an ordinary free-roam pickup.

10. Stede Bonnet — Mystery Island (906, 123)

After Sequence 8, Memory 3: Marooned, check Great Inagua near (827, 442) for Stede's letter and start the Captain Stede Bonnet epilogue. Follow the quest to Mystery Island; the portrait is part of its reward chain.

11. Robert Maynard — Port Royal (602, 134)

Complete Sequence 11, Memory 3: ...Everything is Permitted to unlock the eight-part A World Without Gold chapter. The Maynard portrait becomes available during the final quest in Port Royal, around the church and viewpoint while following the objective to reach Maynard's treasure.

Where to Hang Every Portrait

Return to the manor at Great Inagua and interact with each empty portrait frame. The 11 slots are spread across the building:

3 in the Fleet Planning room and connecting corridor
1 in Edward's bedroom
1 beside the stairs leading toward the treasure room
6 in the cellar

If the trophy does not unlock after the last pickup, check the manor for an unfilled frame. The completion trigger occurs after all portraits are displayed, not simply when the Codex shows 11 collected.

Rewards

Finishing the portrait collection provides:

Haytham Kenway's Overcoat (Legendary outfit)
A unique Great Inagua treasure map from the manor collection chain

The portraits also count toward filling every Great Inagua art slot for the broader manor completion requirement.

Portrait Not Appearing?

Confirm the prerequisite memory or side quest in the table is complete.
Move directly to the coordinates; portrait icons only appear at close range.
Check Codex → Database → Art Collection → Portraits to make sure it was not already collected.
For Blackbeard, Stede, and Maynard, follow the named quest instead of searching in free roam.
Make a manual save before retrying a quest-gated location. If the item still fails to appear after its requirement is met, check the official issue tracker and safe workarounds.
