Salt Lagoon Treasure Map Solution

“Salt Lagoon treasure” can refer to two different routes. Check which location is shown as the starting point on your map:

Abaco Island Map → Treasure at Salt Lagoon

  1. Collect the map at Abaco Island (581, 804).
  2. Sail to Salt Lagoon (719, 607).
  3. Match the beach and rock formation on the sketch, then dig at the marked patch of ground.
  4. The chest contains 3,000 Reales and the Serpent Figurehead Design Plan.

Salt Lagoon Map → Treasure Near New Bone

  1. Find the corpse holding the map on the Salt Lagoon beach at (723, 608).
  2. Travel to New Bone (407, 94).
  3. Search the small island immediately north of New Bone rather than the main settlement.
  4. Dig for 2,500 Reales and the Maize Deity decoration.

If the dig prompt does not appear, confirm that you picked up the corresponding map first. Reaching the correct coordinate alone does not activate every buried chest.

Blackbeard's Treasure Walkthrough

Blackbeard's Treasure is a quest route, not one of the 22 ordinary buried chests.

  1. Complete Sequence 8, Memory 1: Do Not Go Gently.... The map is awarded in the closing cutscene and the quest marker appears at Anotto Bay (590, 245).
  2. At Anotto Bay, swim toward the cliffs and find the damaged diving bell.
  3. Dive beside the bell and enter the long underwater tunnel marked by red jellyfish.
  4. In the first pirate room, carry an explosive barrel to the breakable wall on the east side and shoot the barrel.
  5. In the next combat room, carry another barrel up the slope behind the waterfall and destroy the second wall.
  6. Open the treasure, then fast travel to Great Inagua and interact with the new beach chest marker to finish the quest.

Cape Bonavista Treasure Map

The map at Cape Bonavista (161, 585) is inside the small cave tunnel, but it cannot be collected during the prologue. Complete This Tyro Captain, return in free roam, and enter the cave. The treasure is nearby at (146, 584) beside the cavern pond and contains 1,500 Reales.

Treasure Map and Digging Tips

  • Open the treasure map from the inventory and compare the illustrated coastline, ruins, or trees with the destination.
  • Use coordinates for the correct island, then search on foot. The number gets you close but does not mark the exact shovel spot.
  • A dig prompt normally appears only after the relevant map has been collected.
  • Some destinations are story-gated. Cape Bonavista requires This Tyro Captain, while Príncipe requires Trust is Earned.
  • Viewpoint synchronization does not solve treasure maps. It helps reveal travel points, but you still need the map clue and destination.
  • Prioritize maps with Ultimate Plans if you are preparing for Legendary Ship battles.
